What is The Mother Road Run?
The Mother Road Run presented by PEAK was Ford Era's full-length Route 66 adventure from Chicago to Santa Monica, celebrating 100 years of Route 66 and 250 years of America. Across the series, we drove Brownie, a 1978 Ford F-150 4x4, across more than 2,500 miles of historic highway.
When did it happen?
June 2026. The truck left Miami on June 3rd, 2026 and reached Santa Monica on June 19th, 2026. The official run is Chicago to Santa Monica on historic Route 66.
Is the run still happening? Can I join?
The 2026 run is complete. We are collecting interest for what comes next in 2027 — drivers, sponsors, and Route 66 stop suggestions — with no payment and no commitment. Head to the Next Year page to raise your hand.
